Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. So they say...

August 26th, 2009 8:00am in html, rip off

I was looking through Ten Seven’s Google Analytics the other day (as any self respecting intarwebz person should) and discovered some weird links from a site I had never heard of: IncaMedio. Now why would a site with a foreign name be linking to Ten Seven’s site: what is it that interests them? So I visit the site - incamedio.com - and at first I have to do a double take to make sure I entered the URL correctly. Yip, site’s exactly the same as Ten Seven’s! Would you be angry? I wasn’t.

In fact, I’m highly amused that most things on the site are the same… er, untouched:

  • width of the nav on the right: same
  • width of the content area: same
  • placement of logo in the top left: same
  • color of green, including rollover and visited links: same
  • menu items in the right nav: same width, different font, bad execution
  • body copy font: different
  • color and style switching flavor: did not copy

If you think I should do something about it, let me know in the comments. What would you do? I planned on publishing this blog entry: now that’s done.
